Welcome to the October 2024 edition of EMA Today, the quarterly e-newsletter from the East Midlands Alliance for Mental Health, Learning Disabilities and Autism for Alliance colleagues, stakeholders and the wider healthcare community.

In this issue, we bring you a host of all the latest collaborative work from across the Alliance. This includes highlights from a special showcase event for senior colleagues about our joint future working to improved mental health services in the region.   We also have updates on CAMHS 3.5 services, which are continuing to have a positive impact on supporting young people in the community; how service users are driving improvement to the data they access; and a compassionate approach to talking about suicide. We are also excited to introduce you to the Family Ambassadors team, to share a new video in which colleagues and service users reflect on the difference our Communities of Practice are making - while Crishni Waring, Chair of Leicestershire Partnership and Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, joins us for this month's 60 Second Showcase.
